By following the route, from the centre of Dunakeszi you can reach Somlyó Hill in Fót, where you can enjoy a perfect view of Gödöllői-dombság (Gödöllő Hills), Budai-hegység (Buda Hills) and Visegrádi-hegység (Visegrád Hills).
Route:
From the center of Dunakeszi (Föveny street) we follow the bike path towards Fót. Leaving the highway overpass, the route takes you through the streets of Fót. The main road has to be crossed once, but from here you can see the road leading to Somlyó. The end of this may be a challenge for even the most experienced terrain cyclists. It is recommended to lock the bikes somewhere around the Fáy Présház (Fruit Press House) and walk up to the hill from here, where a magnificent view awaits us. The meadow next to the fruit press house is perfect for picnics and relaxation. The park of the Károlyi Castle is also worth a visit in the centre of Fót. Cyclists are welcome in the café situated in one of the wings of the castle.
The downloadable route (GPX) is one-way, it is recommended to return to the Budapest-Dunakeszi bicycle route on the same route.
