Testimonial:

From the residential area of Törökbálint you can climb up to the Anna Hill Lookout Tower, where you can see a great view of the Budaörsi Basin, the Csíki Mountains and the Tétényi Plateau, and in clear weather you can even see the towers of the Százhalombatta Refinery.

Before starting check if any maintenance work is performed on the lookout tower and if it is possible to admire the panorama in the area by climbing the tower.

Route:

With the exception of the last approx. 500 meters, we can take a quality asphalt road. We start our journey in low-traffic streets between the residential houses of the settlement, directly above the BuBa M1/M7 crossing. Passing through Munkácsy Street, we begin to overcome the altitude difference of more than 100 meters. We catch a tiring, but roughly even slope uphill, and then take a sharp right turn towards Anna Street. From here, the asphalt is replaced by a grounded, scattered gravel section all the way to the lookout tower. Here we can find the steepest parts of our tour, some short sections may require to get off the bike. At the end of our journey, reaching the forest, leaving the bikes in the parking lot under the lookout tower, we can climb up to the observation terrace of the tower.

The downloadable route (GPX) is a one-way tour, it is recommended to return to the Budapest-Balaton bicycle route on the same route.

Embarkation point: Budapest – Balaton bicycle path's M1/M7 overpass, Jókai Mór Street.

To whom do we recommend:Mountain bikers, MTB

How to get out: the Törökbálint Railway Station is 1 km far from the starting point of the route
