Testimonial:

This quick detour takes us to Budakalász, and then to the Calvary Hill. The park provides a pleasant environment for relaxation, and the ruins of a 13th century church discovered in 2011 await the visitors.

Route:

We leave the bike path to Szentendre to the left, on the Lupa Island Road. Along the way we pass Lake Lupa and Lake Omski. The former awaits with bathing facilities and other wet adventures, the latter is mainly famous for wakeboarding. During the route, we do not have to overcome a level at all, all the way to the small street leading to our destination, which in turn leads us very steeply (10-15%) up to the Calvary Hill. From here there is a beautiful view of the hills of the area, and you can visit the 13th century church ruins here. If you do not want to continue on two wheels, you can easily travel back to Budapest or Szentendre with the local train called HÉV from Budakalász.

The downloadable route (GPX) is one-way, it is recommended to return to the Budapest-Szentendre EV6 cycle route on the same route.

Embarkation point: Budapest-Szentendre bicycle road (EV6), Lupa-Island road
