Tour description:

If on holiday in Bük or having already discovered the hikes of the Soproni region, this program offers some much needed variety. After the trip, we the thermal bath awaits! The tour starts from the bath’s parking area, northwest, toward Csepreg. We turn right after Szakony, and then take low-traffic roads into Egyházasfalu, when we may rest. Afterwards, we only have to cross Salamonfa near the border to get to Gyalóka, where we may visit the Roman Catholic church. From here, after the crossing,we ride back to Bükfürdő on the route already taken. If you have your bathing suit with you, do go and experience the benefits of the bath. The medicinal bath is mainly known for its specific composition (alkaline hydrogen carbonate, high calcium, magnesium and fluorine content), which is to be used primarily for musculoskeletal and gynecological troubles and if drunk, for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. In some cases, the being in the thermal water alone is sufficient to cure and prevent, but treatment is recommended for complete improvement.

Bükfürdő:

Bükfürdő has one of Europe's most well-known and the country's second largest thermal, beach and wellness bath. A most modern sauna offer and a special Medical Wellness center await those looking to heal, recharge and bath. The18-hectare bath, which has been renovated in virtually all aspects, is ideal for all ages with 34 pools, a shaded beach and a water surface of over 5000 m2. It is located in the north-western part of Vas county, at the intersection of the Alps and the Little Hungarian Plain, halfway between Vienna and Balaton.

Gyalóka:

The historic Roman Catholic church built in baroque style in 1760, with a tower and a single nave received its name from St. John. The original, traditional folk and baroque installation is still present. Special attention should be paid to the altar, decorated with statues, and the rococo style adorned organ. The statue of St. John of Nepomuk next to the church is from the second half of the 18th century. There are old tombs in the cemetery.
