Tour description:

Perhaps not many people know that Bükfürdő is Hungary's fourth most popular tourist destination in terms of number of visitors. It owes its popularity to its thermal bath, where masses come to for treatment and rest. Upon exploring the spectacular buildings of Eszterházy Castle, the tour continues southwards. We first cross the village of Fertőszentmiklós on the south, and then, accompanied by view the Sopron Mountains, we continue between forests and agricultural areas until the border of Csepreg is reached. Bük is not far from here, where we have ample choice of restaurants and accommodation If you have your bathing suit with you, do go and experience the benefits of the bath. The medicinal bath is mainly known for its specific composition (alkaline hydrogen carbonate, high calcium, magnesium and fluorine content), which is to be used primarily for musculoskeletal and gynecological troubles and if drunk, for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. In some cases, the being in the thermal water alone is sufficient to cure and prevent, but treatment is recommended for complete improvement.

Sights:

The Esterházy Castle of Fertőd:

The history of Eszterháza begins in the second half of the 18 century. In the rushy shore of Fertő, near Süttör, it was founded by Miklós Esterházy ‘The Extravagant’. Based on his ideas and plans, in 1762 the conversion of a decade-earlier hunting castle with the splendor of the main class began. By the time the castle had its roof built in 1766, a village was established in the neighborhood, which got its name from the Esterházy family. It was a single-street, town-like village, with an original English stud farm and the beet sugar factory.

Fertőszentmiklós Lookout Tower:

You can find the lookout tower next to the cemetery on Agghegy Street. Visiting the 12-meters-high tower is free of charge. From the top level of the observation deck, there is a great panorama view of the Lake Fertő, the Little Hungarian Plain and the Pre-Alps.

Röjtökmuzsaj Fishing Lake:

In beautiful Muzsaj, the fishing lake awaits guests with a restaurant and comfortable apartments to offer the complete relaxation package.

Bükfürdő Thermal & SPA:

Bükfürdő has one of Europe's most well-known and the country's second largest thermal, beach and wellness bath.
